We carefully unravel inherited kimonos and handle each step—washing, cutting, sewing, finishing, and inspection—one garment at a time.
We consider the placement while looking at the unique patterns on each piece, cutting so that even pockets and seams look beautiful.
We pay close attention to details such as our original bridge sleeves designed for comfort, flat-felled seams, and natural shell buttons.
Basically, each aloha shirt is made from a single kimono, so the same design cannot be reproduced.
What is a bridge sleeve? | Unique sleeve design
The bridge sleeve is an original Chopsticks ALOHA sleeve.
Based on raglan sleeves, the line from the shoulder to the sleeve has a deeper, smoother curve.
It features a unique, sophisticated silhouette while maintaining ease of movement around the shoulders.

- Since antique and reused kimonos and obi are used, there may be slight weaving flaws, color unevenness, small stains, or odors from storage. Please enjoy these as unique characteristics and textures of the material.
- Each item is inspected individually before shipment. If there are any noticeable damages or stains, they are described on the product page as much as possible.
- Natural materials such as pure silk may experience color transfer or ring stains due to water exposure or friction.
- Since each piece is handmade, there may be slight individual differences in sewing and finishing.
- Colors may appear different in photos compared to the actual product due to monitor settings and lighting during photography.

How to care for your product
When washing, use a mild detergent for delicate clothes and gently hand wash.
After hand washing, reshape and dry in the shade, avoiding direct sunlight.
When using an iron, please use a pressing cloth.
